This is my first time going to The Centurion Lounge. First of all it is inconvenient to the gates at JFK. Second the staff is rude. I was told to come back at 7pm for a 10:30 flight. I came back at 6:50 and could not get in slightly early. Once I got in the whole experience was not great! Overcrowded, food looked gross. I am going to cancel my platinum card. The airline clubs are significantly better in every respect. Nicer staff, better food options & snacks, more room.

I am currently in the lounge and everything’s to expect from American Express. There’s the food, the coffee machine, the bar, the Wi-Fi, and a more rare one, the shower. The only think I want is the sleeping area I guess. Everything’s else is great!

Great lounge with the most friendliest staff. Bar tenders are good, but the staff stocking the buffet and cleaning up your plates do a phenomenal job.

The lounge was clean, but rather crowded. The selection of food on the breakfast buffet was too heavily focused on eggs. Other standard breakfast items were a bit neglected. The Rösti did not have much flavor. The orange juice was nice and cold - but clearly not the best orange juice on the market.

I had just gotten the Platinum card in time for our honeymoon so I definitely knew we were going to hit up the Centurion Lounge in JFK before our flight. It was a Friday evening at around 7 pm and it was packed. In fact, there was a waitlist to get in. They quoted us a wait time of 20 minutes and would text us when we can come in. Once you receive the text, you have 10 minutes to get back to the lounge, so don't wander far. There was Priority Pass lounge nearby so that gave us just enough time to go grab a quick drink there and then head back to the Centurion Lounge.
The food is very mediocre. This was my first time in a Centurion Lounge and I guess I was just expecting better quality. They had some pasta, rice, chicken, sauteed vegetables, lentil soup, and some desserts - so at least there was a variety to select from. It just didn't taste very good.
My two favorite parts of the lounge were the create your own seltzer station, and the speakeasy. The seltzer station is seltzer on tap and you can add syrups to it. We really liked the mojito one (non-alcoholic). The speakeasy was pretty awesome. It is limited seating in there, which I'm not mad at it. I have a feeling a lot of people don't know about it. It's behind a large door and a sign next to it that just says 1850, so I can see it easily being missed if the door is closed or if you didn't do research beforehand. Inside, there are a few small table and maybe about four little nooks. We were lucky enough to nab one of these nooks, which were nice and cozy and (probably?) Covid safe, since you're sort of blocked off from your neighbor. They also have their own specialty cocktails in here, that I don't think they serve in the regular lounge area. My favorite was the espresso martini. I could have easily drank two of these but since we were flying at night, I didn't want all the caffeine to keep me up.
Would definitely love to check out the other Centurion lounges throughout the US.

As a platinum member for years we approached the centurion lounge at JFK 3 hours before our boarding time. The lady at the desk told us to come back in 26 minutes because they count the 3 hrs from the time your flight leaves. We said we would be gone with the 3 hr time to board our flight. She was rude and told us to come back. Went to the Delta Sky Lounge and they could not have been more welcoming and nice! That is a stupid 3 hr rule from Departure time because I will not be sitting in the lounge when my flight departs. You think someone smart there could figure that out.

This is a great stop over in this airport. Food and service is wonderful. There is nothing the service personnel won’t do for you.

I stopped in 2 days in a row since my first flight was canceled and rebooked the next day. You can only go in if you’re departing, not after arriving. There were 2 or 3 people at the desk checking people in and quite a few attendants keeping everything clean and picked up and refreshing the food.
I had a beer and some soup, fried chicken, butternut squash pieces, and roasted broccoli for dinner. The next day during lunch they had the same food except the chicken was grilled instead of fried and Brussels sprouts instead of broccoli. There were also sugar cookies and bite-size brownies.
I liked the variety of chairs, tables, cushioned seats, ottomans, etc. You can catch a little nap, work on a computer, or eat and talk. Definitely a nice place to get away while in the airport.

Undoubtedly the best thing about LGA, the centurion lounge is what got me back to flying out of this airport that I previously avoided like the plague. Located in Terminal B, this is a land side lounge which is great because since its pre-security you can use it even if flying out of one of the other terminals. Just make sure you leave enough time for transfer between terminals and security. The amex cards that allow you access to this lounge come with a hefty fee and the good folks at amex make sure that they provide a stellar lounge experience.
The seating is plenty, with regular tables and chairs in addition to bar stools at the bar and windows along with sofa style seating for those who want to get extra comfy. The food is phenomenal, created by chef Cedric Vongrichten, its a far cry from the uninspiring assortment of basic eats you'd find at some other airport lounges. In fact I'd even go so far as to say its the best good available in LGA. Always plenty of vegetarian and vegan options which is a huge plus. Its essentially gourmet eats prior to your flight. A full bar beckons along with an extensive cocktail list in addition to quality beer and wine. Tea and coffee for those who don't want to indulge in the good stuff.
Staff is excellent. Wifi superb. The view isn't all that becuase of the construction but you can see the runway and flushing bay. The only downside to this lounge is that it can get crowded at certain times but the turnover os quick and I've never had to wait for a seat here.
This is what an airport lounge should be like. Makes it worth it to invest in premium amex cards.

Everyone was very friendly, not too crowded and the French Toast was the best!!
Access is outside security so it may be easier to access from another terminal although I'm not sure if the terminals are connected inside security. In many airports, they're not.
