This is truly a unique place. A large property open to the public on a limited basis; it is well worth a visit. Sculpture is interspersed among the well planned gardens. The donor lives on the property and the house cannot be visited. It has an excellent gift shop. It is great for all ages

Although this 16 acre property was purchased by Jack Larsen in the 1970's and opened to the public in the 1990's, we only just learned about it. We were delighted to find a peaceful oasis (after the traffic of East Hampton!) in which to wander and enjoy the more than 60 works of art displayed in beautiful landscapes that are... More

I was not expecting much when my wife insisted we spend a beautiful summer afternoon at the LongHouse Reserve. I figured it would be disappointing compared to Storm King. Well, I was wrong. I was most impressed not by the sculptures but by the plantings. As a frequent visitor to Brooklyn Botanical Garden, I found the many plantings a real... More

16 acres of garden walks make an amazing backdrop for an eclectic mix of sculptures and artworks of all shapes, sizes and materials. Walk from one secret space to another and be surprised by what's hidden behind various types of planting. Local landscapers have created individual tableaux, internationally acclaimed artists are exhibited within complementary environments to show the sculptures off... More

If you are in need of peace and relaxation - this is the place! There is an Asian bell to ring to get you in the mood. The gardens with sculpture are all different, some circular and long and rectangular - I particularly liked the sculpture of a woman doing a somersalt by Eric Frischl, there is a pond and... More

The 16 acres of garden and sculpture are breathtaking. There is a design surprise every time you turn a corner. If you go on a weekday, you can see the art indoors as well as outdoors.

We stumbled upon this place during a recent weekend in the Hamptons with my husband and our son (4 years old). It was beyond my greatest expectations, and I'd say it is on par with Storm King, which is among the great monumental contemporary sculpture gardens in the U.S. First rate work by a vast selection of important, iconic artists.... It is hard to see all there is here in one or two visits. Around each corner or tree is a new sight filled with beautiful planting, a pond, pools, sculpture, and a fantastic home. A landscaped sculpture garden surrounding Jack Lenor Larsen's East Hampton home. I am so thankful that we were able to schedule a visit to this beautiful sculpture garden. The expansive gardens, with numerous hidden areas are beautiful. The sculptures really make each setting unique. There are plenty of small areas for quiet contemplation.
