Great beaches and beautiful park

Great beaches and beautiful park. If you are lucky, a fox will honor you with his presence... BUT please drive slow as deer, foxes, and bunnies cross the road in the evening!!!!

Long Island Beaches are the best. This beach has a long stretch of white sandy beach. Its the start of Fire Island with parking.

I go to the beach at least 2-3 times a week in the Summer........Robert Moses is one of my favorites!! Unlike some other beaches (Ocean Beach on Fire Island) this is NOT the land of NO!! You are allowed to "play" on the beach whether it is tossing a football, a frisbee it is welcomed! I usually go around 10:30... More

I like Jones Beach and the Hamptons are great but far away. Just about the best though is Robert Moses on the tip of fire island (the part you can drive too). . Not as developed or crowded as Jones Beach, this is a family place and crowded on weekends but even better during the week. The parking is expensive... More

One of the best beach that I have visited so far near NYC, we came here on a short ride from Brooklyn, 1.5 hours, the parking is $10 I haven't check the facilities but seems to be very clean and organized, I'll back and I will visit another spot, there are like 5 or 6 different access to the beach,... My husband and I had a wonderful day at Field 2 yesterday. There was plenty of parking just a close walk away from the entrance. The sand was clean, the waves a bit rough even for advanced swimmers. The lifeguards were quite diligent making sure the swimmers were safe. We came with our own lunch and refreshments so we cannot... More

This beach is beautiful. We were there 2 days in a row. The second day had a strong on shore wind and the waves were quite large. We really couldn't go in and swim but we sure had a blast playing in the big waves. The beach is very large. It is nice and well maintained. The people working there... More

Robert Moses State Park is a non-crowded beach with ampel parking space. Couple of our families went there last weekend. We wanted to do BBQ and then may be in the beach. UNFORTUNATELY, state park is sort of misleading since there was no park. The only dry place was full of sands and with no trees or shades. So, we... More

Overall, we spent a great couple hours at Robert Moses. The beach was not too crowded and the water was very warm. The crowd at the beach was very respectful. The beach itself was clean, but was noticed some trash in the water. Mainly plastic bags etc. That being said it was still a great experience. There was bathrooms and... More

I went here with my sisters and their families. The children range in age from 9 to 25. Everyone had a great time. Field 3 was closed when we got there, but we were able to park at field 2. Just a helpful tip, field 3 has less parking spaces than the other fields. I learned this after we went... More
