Amazing sunsets and perfect company, Friendly locals, Lake Kariba is perfect. Houseboats can be very hot and sometimes a shoreside lodge with a boat is the better option as you can retreat to a pool when it's too hot on the lake.

I've been to Lake Kariba twice now. My husband grew up in Zimbabwe and has very fond memories of this place. My first experience here was so-so as we stayed on a houseboat over new years while I was pregnant (not the best idea). My...More

Having said that. The views are incredible. It's so peaceful . There's wildlife everywhere, wildlife I'd only ever seen in a zoo before. The dam is awesome. ZPC Kariba also play in the township if you like football and want a fun Saturday afternoon.

Hi guys we live in South Africa so dont really want to travel further than the Mlibizi so first of all we need to find cheap accommodation in the Mlibizi. Apparently there used to be chalets by a camp sight that were reasonable does anyone know what this place is called. We 4 young adults so not looking for delux accommodation that will cost us a fortune. Secondly does anyone know what it costs to go out on the faery to fish dayly? I hear it can be quite costly?
