Nice place to get some insight into Damara culture, the visit is quite short and it did not live fully to my expectations. Not sure I would recommend it.

Ask questions and get beyond the tourist show to learn how life is for the Damara people today. Visit the modern village to get a glimpse of a people who depend so much on the generosity of others for survival.

A must see for visitors and you can spend as little or as long as you want here. The guides are local villagers and know everything that you would want to know about the village.

More a cultural show than a museum. But it is well put-togher and gives a feel for local Damra life. Also conveniently located close to Twyfelfontein.

I visited this Living Museum on a work trip with some of my Damara colleagues, who enjoyed showing their culture to the visitors who came to Namibia. It was very interesting to see the traditional clothing, drinks and jewelry, made by the women who worked...More
