Has a stag party at the mountain and it was great! Tubing is fun as well! The mountain was really pretty and the lines were short

Top snow making and grooming makes Hunter a consistently great day ski destination. Weekdays are heavenly; no lines on anything. Super accessible parking, food and fun. Have never had a bad day there.

First time taking my sons(5 & 8) there, and enrolled both in full Day children's program, but my little one got pink eye after the first day, the DR. said it could be from the rentals (most likely the helmet), it was so upsetting! They...More

Some friends and I rented a cabin for the long weekend. We spent most of our time at Hunter's ski lodge and in Tannersville. The lodge has some bars and food venders, so even though I don't ski, I had fun people watching and watching...More

This was my second year going, as far as cost, what does everyone expect? A low cost show? You don't get artists like Kid Rock, Kenny Chesney and Jake Owen without paying them big bucks. The music was awesome, the setup was better than last...More

Has anyone used the 'play care' daycare/ski school at Hunter Mountain? Were you happy with the facilities and care given?

Unfortunately we didn't get a space available as it was all full over the weekend, but the facility looked good and kids seemed happy & engaged, you can see through the glass window and its nice & big place.

Hey Guys, I'm looking to book 1 night in the area to spend the day and the following morning on the slopes. What is the closest accommodation there? Is there any right there or within walking distance as I won't have a car. Thanks :) Liz

The closest place is the "Kaatskill Mountain Club". It is right next to the slopes and is almost ski-in-ski out (if there is enough snow). There are also the "Liftside Village and Trailside at Hunter Condominiums... More

Hi there, Two questions: 1) Someone mentioned that rentals can be had much less expensively at shops on the way to H.M. I'm looking to call ahead and verify availability and pricing - could someone recommend some places? 2) I know this one is a bit odd, but has anyone ever witnessed (or participated) in essentially tailgating in the parking lots? Would they even allow it? I know it's unusual, but we always have fun tailgating with a bunch of food at games, and were thinking of setting up shop with a small tent before skiing. Thanks!
