When I last went there is was surprised with a display of Lockhorns comic strips as paintings. The entire group of paintings were entertaining.

The attraction will speak for itself Located in Huntington it is small enough to be personal. Nearby you can walk around the Pond, and with a bit of energy even walk into the Main street of Town for a bite to eat. Allow about 20...More

This was a nice little museum. It only had a few small galleries, but they had quality art on display. They had staff to watch over things. The entrance clerk was very engaging. The digital painting screen was fun to use. The admission is not...More

For a tiny, small town museum with only two exhibition galleries, the Hecksher Museum has a ridiculously great permanent collection. Established by industrialist August Hecksher in the 1920s, it benefits from his eclectic collection that ranges from Old Masters to the 19th century; more recently...More

It's a small local museum, but the collection is varied and interesting and the rotating exhibits worth repeated visits. Set in a park with sculpture and a pond, it's more than it's small package would suggest. Free for the locals and with a moderate admission...More

We drop by occasionally as they always have something new to see. Nice setting. Easy to park. Not crowded. You're in and out in an hour.

This museum is set in a lovely park right in the middle of town - a people's museum, if you will. It's worth a visit, not too much to see at least on the day we were there.

We spent an afternoon at this little museum and were pleasantly surprised. When we arrived I thought we'd be there for a short time as the museum is small. The docent on duty at the time struck up a conversation with us and gave us...More

We have visited this museum twice in the past month. The exhibition featuring Long Island Artists was excellent. The current exhibition "Norman Rockwell and Friends: American Illustrations from the Mort Kuntsler Collection" is also excellent. The Museum has a "First Friday" series with free Museum...More
