Our first time at Caramoor. Although the music program was very good, the star is the setting. The house, Music Room and courtyard are a trip back in time. Volunteer staff very helpful with directions and making you feel welcome. Definitely worth a visit but best in daylight as low level lighting at night, while setting a nice mood, makes... More

I frequently go to Caramoor for music concerts, both during the summer and winter. Some concerts are held in an outside tent (the Venetian Theater), the Sunken Garden, open air in the "Friends Field", others in intimate quarters or in the Spanish courtyard. They often feature new artists who are amazingly gifted! There's a great 4th of July celebration preceded... More

The house is intriguing, with many of the rooms and their furnishings taken from Italian castles and chateaus and built into the house. Quite incredible. The gardens are lovely as well and the concerts can be exceptional, with a choice of venues to suit the music and the size of the audience,

It was a relaxing day and fun to have a tour of Rosen's house. The young conductor has full of life. Brahms' music was lively and the violinist was superb as the conductor. We, three enjoyed it. Pablo Heras-Casado is an accomplished conductor and a very busy man. He is from Granada, Spain. We visited this place three years ago.... More

Beautiful sound and a feast for the eyes. Since its inception, the Bel Canto at Caramoor program has focused on providing opportunities for young singers and reviving rare operas, usually in Italian but occasionally in French. On Sunday afternoon, with Orchestra of St. Luke's music director Pablo Heras-Casado on the podium in the Venetian Theater, the summer festival offered Fidelio,... More

We were able to get tickets for our first visit here for their July 4th celebration. Large concert hall was a very large and comfortable tent with cool breezes on an otherwise warm night. We loved the concert - Westchester Philharmonic Winds. The ground are pretty with interesting buildings and some gardens. There were also several booths where you could... More

Although Caramoor offers concerts indoor in the Rosen house at other times of the year, the real treat is their summer festival. We've been to concerts in the Spanish courtyard where you may not be protected from sun or rain, but it's a charming small venue for good music. We most often attend their Bel Canto opera concert performances under... More

A beautiful setting for beautiful music, set in the woods a very serene venue capable of handling many patrons at a time. Get your tickets early as most performances sell out.

We've been to Caramoor a few times, once to see Pat Metheny and another to see Yo Yo Ma. Both concerts were not only musically outstanding, but sitting under the big tent during the show added to the experience. Instead of being crammed into a theater or concert hall you have open walls, and can hear the birds and feel... More

We always picnic before the evening concerts in the summer. The grounds are beautiful -- especially the main garden. During the rest of the year we attend chamber music concerts indoors in the Rosen House. The surroundings are as beautiful as the music.
