Short hike, great spot !

Short walk from parking lot to the base of the falls, best in spring or after a good rain storm. Bring a camera.

Take the family and slowly walk up to the falls or go slow and enjoy the relaxed climb. It can be done in thirty minutes swiftly or slowly for old and tired folks in an hour so you don't become winded. The view is worth it. Bring a picnic to eat at the top, pack out what you don't finish.... More

right off of 73 you will find this wonderful little hike that leads to the waterfall. It is much taller then you would expect and with great photo ops.

A short walk through the woods (.03 miles) leads to a narrow water fall into a small river. The falls are actually quite high but you can't see it all from the base. I'd recommend skipping as a standalone destination and just taking it in as part of the Giant Mountain trek.

Had a great time hiking here. We first hiker to the base of the waterfall and then decided to go to the top of the waterfall. The hike was worth the spectacular views!

Went in August and there wasn't much water falling. It was an easy hike to the base. The parking lot is shared with the trail to Giant and it was full and many cars were parked along the shoulder of Route 73.

Nice short hike to the bottom of the falls. It was a little icy at the top apparently and there was a ranger there warning people off. The trail is mostly smooth until you get to the base of the falls then it requires climbing on rocks. The falls themselves are fairly high and narrow. I suspect it is pretty... More

We happened to go to Keene Valley when most of our party had some type of physical ailment, bad hip, sore foot, pulled muscle, ect. We were disappointed because usually we hike quite a bit and enjoy all the stunning views in the area. With even the summit of Whiteface fogged in (where you can drive) we were limited to... More

Amazing easy hike with a very rewarding view from the top. It has an outlook that looks towards the ausable club and into the great range. Also offers a great view for sunsets. The bottom is a nice place to hang out and offers camping dots. An awesome climb for experienced rock climbers as well, with an anchor at the... More

From the parking area at Giant/Roaring Brook off of 73 headed west - it is a short 0.3 mi trail walk to the base of Roaring Brook Falls. The beauty of the falls/brook will depend on the water flow, but if you aren't big into hiking and just want a short, nice trail walk then this definitely fits the bill.... More
