We took our teenagers for a 4 mile hike today and it was great. Beautiful views. Nice hills. Fragrant forest trails. We had 3 teenage boys with us and they loved it. We went from forest to beach and back.

Sunken Meadow State Park is relatively close to our home, approximately 15 minutes away and we enjoy taking long walks on the board walk and watching the sunset. During the summer season it is quite busy with people hanging out but nonetheless we still enjoy...More

I love Sunken Meadow as I go running there several times a week. I avoid going on Weekends during the warm weather. An Empire Pass is a must.

Great day trip for couples, families or friends. Great for walking, running, hiking and sunbathing. Also nice to just sit and read a book. In the summer they have live music and food specials

Strolled the boardwalk on a nice April afternoon. Nice to stroll the beach without getting sand in your shoes!

Come here and hike on the trails, swim at the beach, walk the boardwalk, eat lobster in the summer of just hang out. Peace and rejuvenation by the water.

This is a state beach and picnic area. Certainly you could have a casual picnic party if that is what you choose.
