We took the obligatory boat ride to the source of the Nile. It was a nice boat ride, and interesting to see the waters churning like they do. There is one small craft shop at the source and all the boats line up to dock...More

I did visit Source of Nile with my friends who were living in Jinja from last 2-3 years. We went to the Jinja Sailing Club area and book a boat (Mr. Adam, Cell No. 0782-588-951). If you don't find/contact Mr. Adam, no problem, some other...More

This was a nice place to go relax but getting quite touristy so competition is high and you can see vendors fighting for your business. Otherwise it is something nice to see atleast once. They also have a nice sit down restaurant which we only...More

Other than rafting and relaxing in the area, this seems to be the only other reason to go to Jinja. You should visit this attraction if only for the reason of saying that you have been to one of the 'sources' of the Nile. For...More

Good place to visit and relax on the boat and enjoy the flora and fauna around the river. Had a really good guide who was very knowledgeable and thorough during the trip!

when someone stands near or at the Speke monument can easily and clearly see how the water starts moving and flow away from the lake which is amasing and interesting

The east side tourist attraction (near Jinja) is overpriced and depressing but the west side destination -Source of the Nile,Living waters, where Speke monument is located,is quiet and low key. These should be separate listings. I'd give Speke monument 5 stars

Enjoy it and don't worry about paying 10,000 shillings to enter the park. At todays exchange rates that is $3.16 in US dollars. Is that really worth complaining about? Free parks like we know in the USA are pretty much non-existent in Uganda. This isn't home, folks. It's Uganda. It's a lovely place with wonderful people, but leave your first world mindset at home or you're in for needless frustration.
