Perfect stay in a nice location with professional and nice staff. Kids friendly, we also appreciate advices on where to take breakfast (Madison pub) and Dinner (Copinette). Bathroom to refurbish to meet perfection.

The property is excellently located near the UN, a 24 hour deli and a lot of great restaurants. Staff is friendly, especially Aymen. The studio appartment is very well equipped and Internet connection is good. I highly recommedn it for this part of town where hotels tend to be expensive. Only hick is no brekfast but right across the street, there is a great place to have brekfast at a very good price. I plan to stay here again when I come to my UN meetings.

The Beekman is the best place to stay in Turtle Bay when you seek comfort, convenience and safety in a great neighbourhood. The staff are welcoming, caring and competent and the facilities comfortable and homey.

My family and I arrived for check in around 930-10pm. My aunt was staying with her son in his apt across the street and my sister, neice and i were staying in the hotel. My aunt made the reservation online for a room with a bed and couch for 3 people. Upon arriving to the room, it was way too small and there was no couch. So someone didn't have a place to sleep. I went down to the desk and asked for a roll away bed, the man said he would bring it up at 11pm when his relief got there. We went out to get dinner and walk around a bit only to arrive back at about 1130 to no roll away bed in the room. I went back down to the desk and explained to the new desk clerk what had happened with the previous fellow. He replies "I don't know, I just run security". I ask if he has a bed I can take up myself as we are exhausted and have a busy next day planned. He says he doesn't, and proceeds to call the previous desk clerk to see why he didn't bring the bed at 11 as he stated. While on speakerphone I hear the previous clerk say to give him a bit and he will bring it up to the room. So I go back to the room and wait..fast forward to 130am, I finally have a roll away bed. Of course by the time we open it up we realize it's pretty decent size and it's barely leaving any space in the room. So I call the desk to ask about just getting a new room, the "security" guy tells me I have to come down at 7am and they can get me a new room. We turn in for the night. 730am, I walk down to the desk to see about getting the room, another man is now at the desk and tells me I have to wait till 9am. I go up to the room and get ready for the day, return to the desk at around 930am..yet another man is at the desk, and he tells me I have to wait till 11am when the reservations lady comes in. I'm fully annoyed and very dissatisfied but the man reassures me that he will have her call me as soon as she comes in. So i leave my info with him and proceed to try and enjoy my visit to the city. I finally get a call around noon from the reservations lady. She's very nice and apologetic which was the first time I felt like someone was seeing me and listening. She was able to book me into another room. My sister and niece stayed in the original room. So my aunt paid for their room and I ended up footing the bill for my own. Which was totally unplanned and super inconvenient. Once I get back to the hotel I check in and proceed to my new room. I walk in to a huge comfy couch, kitchenette, and a bed. It was the room we should've been booked in originally. I had asked about the rates due to the inconvenience and the lady said she would give both room a discounted rate due to the hassle and she fully recognized that the reservation made online was not equal to the room we were given. However, when we checked out my aunt didn't get a discounted rate and neither did I. So we both ended up paying a ridiculous amount of money for: 1, a room that was not appropriate for the reservation made and 2, for the fact that I ended up having to get an entirely separate room which I never intended to do nor budgeted for. So overall the experience my family and I had at your hotel was pretty terrible. The reservation lady was nice and so was the man that checked me out of my room, otherwise the people were very "I don't care" like..and that was very off-putting and definitely made the stay less desirable. With that, I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay at this location. Maybe just focus on ur rooftop bar which seems to be a big hit with the locals. As they were so clearly humping each other on the hotel steps which was really inappropriate for my 12 yr old neice to be seeing as we are trying to get to our room. They told us we couldn't smoke within 20ft of the hotel doors but they let drunk adults make out and feel each other up right on the front step. It's appalling.

Even in the winter the view across to Mid-Town is worth the cold exposure. Good to see Long Island Gantry too

I love this state park and have been coming here for years, every summer. With beautiful views of Midtown Manhattan and the heart of the history of LIC behind it, a walk along the waterfront is wonderful during the summer months. My most recent visit was in July just after the fireworks. It was a hot summer day and the breeze along the promenade made it a memorable stop to just relax. The park is a must for anyone coming or living in Queens.

I'm sorry, I don't know... It doesn't have gates or anything, but it may be posted to close at nite. People jog there though so, I would assume it opens very early.

Take the #7 subway right at the Bus station. Stay on three stops heading to Queens. Exit at Vernon-Jackson Station which is 50th St. Walk two blocks to the river. You will see the Empire State Building in front of you. Less than 20 minutes for the whole trip.
