While I was there when it was a bit cold and windy, I really enjoyed it. Good for just absorbing the Manhattan skyline. There are some nice little restaurants nearby so you can enjoy lunch and a view like none other, so cheap.

As a State ark, Gantry park is fairly small but it is chock full of things to do, from flea markets shopping to kayaking and ball playing to having the best view of the Macy fireworks on 4th of July, you can't beat Gantry State Park. Great family friendly park

Nice waterfront park in Queens offering spectacular views of midtown Manhattan's dense skyline. Three iconic buildings - Chrysler, Empire State, and the UN Headquarters - are all on display. It's not a tourist trap (at least not yet) so those looking for some peace and quiet while enjoying views of the city will find this place ideal. Come between early... More

Visited here last weekend on a warm autumn day. Nice walk along the river with great views of the Manhattan skyline. Has playground for kids and dog park area. Also has a little coffee and sandwich shop with ample areas to sit and relax

I went as part of a photography class. Lots of industrial detail and great views of Manhattan. It's located on the East River, in bustling Long Island City.

This is one of the nicest parks in New York City in my opinion. The views of New York City from here are absolutely amazing! In my opinion if you're coming to New York City make sure you check out Long Island CIty and come to this park! This is one of the more underated parks. It is very beautiful... More
