The area by the lighthouse - is just a beautiful ocean view and lovely to walk around. You can walk up the cliff area and see a great view.

We love visiting the park around the lighthouse every time we visit Montauk. Beautiful views and chill rocky beach. We only ever go in the off season, so can’t speak to summer crowd levels.

We recently visited here and really enjoyed it. There is a good museum and it is nest to a State Park. On the very eastern end of the Hamptons. Worth a trip.

Disappointed that we couldn’t visit the light house because it was undergoing renovation (April 2018) however still worth a visit to the nearby stone beach with its beautiful views. Nearby cafe is open and scenic walks all around.

This lighthouse is a must see when you are in the Montauk area but do yourself a favour - especially if your a photographer - a walk the beach from its left. Lovely angle on it with the pebbles the beach.

The setting is lovely but the lighthouse is only open on weekends during the off season. Walking around the area was pleasant but I can't comment on the lighthouse as well since it was closed

I was excited about seeing a historical monument. Fortunately, one of the volunteers attached himself to us and was so knowledgeable. I had never learned before that George Washington was the one to have it built. Besides the great guide, the museum was very special....More

The lighthouse is beautiful and the walk up is easy enough. There’s a museum area, great maps, I like the gift shop gift which had nice Christmas ornaments but the real reason to go is the memorial to those who died at sea. Very moving....More

I did see several dogs leashed on the property. I do believe they can go in the lighthouse though
