Nice!

Beautiful, clean park you'll want to go back to over and over again. We've visited several times when we go to Montauk on vacation, and it never gets boring!

We visited Montauk Point State Park and the Lighthouse on a Thursday afternoon in June, before the schools were out for summer, and there were a good number of other visitors there. I imagine in the peak season of summer the lighthouse would be quite busy. The fee to park is $8 per vehicle, but that pass is good at... More

I'm from Brooklyn, and I drove all the way out here just to see this Light house. Yes it was worth it. The park around the light house is amazing, beautiful, serine, breezy. The list goes on and on. We got there around 6 PM and it was too late to go into the lighthouse because it closed for the... More

Though we did not tour the lighthouse proper we walked along the rock path along the ocean. It was easy to navigate and got us to the other side with easy access to the parking lot.

We loved that we got to tour the light house, learn a bit of history, but also loved that there were lots of clean public bathrooms, an amazing picnic and play area, lots of family swings to enjoy the view and a very great food grill at the base

When we finally arrived at the park (7:00) it was closed. We only got to visit from afar. However, what we did see was very pretty. I just wished they didn't close at 5:30 in June. Many more hours of daylight left.

Nice place to walk around, have a picnic lunch and enjoy the views. However, keep away from the marked areas to prevent getting ticks.

Spent a couple of days in Montauk and most of the time hiking in this wonderful park. There are so many trails, coves, hidden roads (especially in Camp Hero) to just wander around in. I love the outdoors so this place was perfect for a little solitude away from the city.

But if you are from Long Island you not only have to visit Monauk, but do so at least a few times a year...you have to look out in the distance and see Block Island and the Connecticut shore in the distances, you have to visit Camp Hero and imagine the soldiers in WW2 who were staitioned here...you have to... Nice pleasant place to spend a morning. Bring a lunch, the cafe was not opened yet when I was there. Incredible views of Rhode Island from the park. You can see why they put a lighthouse in this spot.
