Surprised this place is still open. Don't waste your time. If you are going to New Paltz to climb, climb at the crag. If you want to climb in a gym climb at one that's more than 15 ft high with walls that were built this century by an actual professional climbing wall builder. This place looks like its been built from cardboard boxes covered in paint. The walls are old but the routesetting older. On a positive note the staff are generally friendly but there is just so much better out there now. Spend your money on access to the Gunks or a real gym..

The Inner Wall is a top notch climbing gym with extensive bouldering and top roping routes for climbers of all levels. It's not huge, but what they've done with the space is nothing short of amazing. They have $5 bouldering nights on wednesdays and thursdays after 5pm, it's the best deal you'll ever get on indoor climbing!! Features include a 45 degree bouldering wall, a bouldering cave, top roping, and traverse bouldering routes that go all the way around the gym. The gym also features routes for training in lead climbing using quick draws. The staff are awesome and friendly and it is owned by alpine endeavors, a top notch guide service in the area.

Very helpful fro novice or expert, friendly and supportive. I brought my grandson (7) for his second visit and had to be trained to be the anchor (forgot what it's called) Without a problem, they were patient with me, supportive of him and we all had a wonderful time. Will go back again without question.

Great way to get the kids away from the computer! I have been here several times, bringing my teenage boys and their friends. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and very safety conscious. Accommodates beginners to experienced climbers. There are places to eat within walking distance.
