Being so close to the city, this is a must see. Art from the 70s-Current day, Storm King offers a chance to have a little piece of history and to enjoy the wonderful feeling of the Hudson Valley nature. It is absolutely stunning to walk around in the spring, summer or fall. The way Storm King curates and integrates the... More

I made a stop here as part of a planned art tour of southern New York, stayed nearly a whole day, and recommend taking at least 5-6 hours to explore the entire setting and take frequent rest/lunch breaks. I visited on a hot and humid day; cooler weather might allow faster walking and fewer breaks. The grounds are hilly, often... More

This was a last minute addition to the end of a Hudson Valley long weekend. Arrived late afternoon and spent a few hours wandering around and checking out the art and the landscape. So amazing - if you're near NYC you have to check it out. We visited in August and it did get warm w/ all the walking, so... More

I had no idea what to expect. The art was pretty cool but honestly I am not into lawn art. Yet, I really enjoyed the walk around the property. Also, took some food for a picnic and then walked some more. Pretty sure we did not cover the entire property as it is expansive. I would go again but it... More

Simply beautiful a must see is all I have to say. Bring a picnic lunch and sit in the north picnic area. More shade for sunny days. Cafe cookies are worth the price. Need a good day to appreciate the 500 arces. Tram ride is a good way to get an overview if short on time.

It is my second time in this open-air museum. It is so beautiful, relaxing and inspiring. The permanent collection is amazing. The temporary exhibitions in both cases were brilliant. Highly recommended for a short (1.5 hours) from NYC

Bring your bike or ride the tram which is part of your admission and enjoy the fresh air and amazing art that in many cases looks like part of the landscape. Kids of all ages will like it. Great place to walk and enjoy time as a couple or with friends. Brink food to picnic.

This is quite far from NYC but well worth a visit if travelling outside city limits. The sculptures are amazing to see. Renting a bike is a great way to get to see the whole park.

Fabulous sculpture outdoor museum. Mainly modern sculpture. Some huge pieces and some mid-size pieces - spread over a lot of parkland. Allow at least 3 hrs. (May be a little hard to find - we used a GPS)
