We came towards the end of flower season and still saw a lovely display of yellow, orange, pink, purple, and white flowers, in abundance. The wildlife was great, too, because we added elands, bonteboks, ostrich, and mountain zebra to our list. Birds included Sacred Ibis, Flamingo, African Oystercatcher, and Black Harrier. We had not seen any of these on safari... More

We love visiting the West Coast National Park. We have been coming regularly to the Park for the last twenty years and we always enjoy it! It’s a pity the Geelbek restaurant has deteriorated so badly!

No place in the whole reserve to buy water, except for a restaurant which is not open as per advertised hours. This was an extremely disappointing visit, I won't be back.

Absolutely stunning park! We caught the tail end of the flower season and was still able to see some of the beauty. The views from the high points are amazing, can see Table mountain on a clear day. There are also restaurant facilities and swim friendly beaches available. Some buck and other wild life to be seen, please don't kill... More

We came here for the flowers, and boy did we see them! Upon driving in we were quite disappointed, but then we turned around and realized that the flowers were all facing the sun in the direction we were driving. Absolutely gorgeous. We had a great time here and took plenty of photos of the flower fields in this otherwise... More

Stunning views - some great photographic opportunities. Beautiful scenery. Infrastructure in the park has been well maintained and toilets were clean. There were still some flowers in late October. Nice variety of wildlife to see

We visited here a couple of times whilst staying in Langebaan. The whole park is beautiful with nice bird hides and plenty to see if you give it time. Yes there is an entrance fee but well worth it. Recommended.

This a place I reccomend for all nature lovers who spend a few days in Cape Town. It's only an hour driving from the city. Allow yourself at least half of day to enjoy the beauty of the surroundings and to discover everything the place has to offer: many animals in their natural habitat (turtles, ostriches, cobra, antelopes, lots of... It is simply amazing how this most beautiful part of the world can transform into a picturesque portrait, after the first bit of rains..! The park offers both young and old the opportunity to appreciate nature at its best, an mere hour and a half from Cape Town. Take a drive out there..!

If you go in peak season and visit Postberg go early to avoid traffic congestion. Postberg is a privately owned piece of land (about 6000 hectares) inside the national park which is normally not open to the public. Every year however, between August and September When it's spring in Cape Town and the west coast shows off its wild flowers,... More
