Oh Boy

Hike was very easy and the views were amazing. 10/10 would put up with my dad complaining that he doesn't have a beer in his hand again just to visit.

Had the pleasure of visiting this coastal town on a tour and was blown away with the picturesque scenery and the lovely little town which has plenty to offer to the tourists by way of coffee and food outlets as well as the usual souvenir shops. Lots of walking tracks to take you to some pretty impressive scenery along this... More

We arrived in Etretat early, to beat the crowds. It was an amazing beautiful, clear fall day. We walked up both sides of the cliffs and both were amazing. As impressive as the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. It's a photographer's haven. A walkers paradise. A romantic place for a picnic. Even a golfer's delight. Lovely town, lovely people, pebbled... More

We travelled a lot, and I should say that this cliffs are way more spectacular then the world-known cape of good hope. Seriously. Have been there in July, and I still have cliffs photo as my screen saver. Best views are definitely on sunset, and it is great to first have a look from the cliff and then stroll through... More

Make sure you spend 2 to 4 hours to enjoy the spectacular viewings Make a hike from late morning to the afternoon when the sunlight makes the rocks shining. Even on a clear day in winter this trip is worth doing.

Very inspiring and beautiful place, perfect for a romantic weekend or a family visit. You can stay in a hotel in a small cities nearby. It will be cheaper and only 10 minutes away from the cliffs.

To see the rocks on the beach, the waves lapping the shore, to walk past the German WWII gun emplacements, to know it is a working fishing village, to walk up the stairs to the top of the cliff, these made it real. A very busy spot, many people coming to see the town, stay overnight, have dinner. A bit... More

Our visit coincided with cool cloudy weather but there are still joys to be had in this quiet coastal town, not least in the dramatic cliffs that form the backdrop to the beach and the numerous boats pulled up along the shore. Well worth a quick visit especially for lovers of Monet's local paintings.
