This conservatory features an indoor tropical garden, with various species of tropical birds, fish, and reptiles year-round, and butterflies during the warmer months. The aim is to introduce visitors to the wonderment and biodiversity of the natural world. Kids can delight in close-up encounters with species they wouldn't normally see. Note: Recently, the place has been underfunded and appears a... More

We were surprised at the variety of non-butterfly animals, birds and insects on display. The curator was informative and took time to go into depth on many subjects. We enjoyed hunting for specific animals. We found out that sunny days are best to see the butterflies, which were not much in evidence during our visit.

I love bringing my son here. Though it is small, we can spend an hour visiting the butterflies and other animals. The owner is lovely and it is particularly great to go when they are not busy because she will spend a lot of time talking with you. I love being able to sit on the benches with the little... More

Hard to find. You have to take an unmarked walking trail to the conservatory from the parking lot. The butterfly conservatory is small and pales next to others I've been to. Kids might enjoy it. I went alone on this trip. I love butterflies. This place is as much about tropical birds and reptiles as butterflies though.

A little disappointing. Not as many butterflies as I thought would be flying around. The birds were really nice, though...

I had been wanting to check this place out for a while and finally went with my family. Definitely not worth the trip. Way over priced for what you get out of it. The facility is run down and the staff were not friendly. When you pull in the path to the building is not even marked. The butterfly garden... More

I visited the center today with a student and a colleague. We were disappointed in the lack of information available on what we were seeing. Too many species in a small space with a high ceiling. Converted space not really environmentally friendly. Some exotic birds were caged! Air quality was poor and there are no outdoor viewing areas. This is... More

The place was very small and run down. Not worth the money or the trip.it had a strange smell to it. Nothing to look at on the out side. At first we didn't know if we were even in the right place. Nothing was marked where to go.

There is a large variety to see and a few surprises to see. You will enjoy the visit. They recently updated so it would be worth another look in if you have not seen it since before the changes.
