We make sure we stop at the Catapano Dairy Farm whenever we're in Peconic, L.I. The cheese is always very fresh and delicious. The tastings are helpful in making a decision about which cheese you might want to purchase. It's fun to watch the goats, chickens and the llama on the property.

It was a rainy day and figured we would stop and checkout the dairy farm. They had a nice free sampling of cheese and crackers which was great because the cheeses are pricey and I didnt want to get stuck with something I might not like. I tried many flavors and when I brought it home was happily surprised by... More

Here is a perfect way to top off a perfect summer day on the north fork. Drive out to Orient, walk along the rocks, photograph the birds and butterflies, walk around Greenport and, treat yourself to an ice cream or gelato. Then purchase some fresh produce at a local farm, but leave some time for a visit to the Catapano... More

WE were on a wine tour and we had time to make a side trip to the Catapano dairy farm.It turned out to be a fun stop with a lot going on.We got there in time to see the goat milking. The cheese shop was a nice surprise with many items available. Glad we stopped.

Fairly good variety of goat cheeses, made fresh from their goats. They are pricey, hence the 4 stars, but worth the splurge. Great selection of plants and flowers, too. Friendly staff. Worth a visit

We loved visiting this farm. Had no idea goats were so social, the babies and the adults were very cuddly, we got to learn about the whole process of raising the goats, and try some tasty goat cheese. Highly recommend this spot.

I had friends in from PA and we went to visit the farm and bought some amazing cheese while there. The goats were funny to watch and so sweet to pet. Fun place to visit!

My husband and I read about Catapano online and made a point of visiting here during our stay on the North Fork. Seeing the beautiful animals was a real treat. The goats were so friendly and happy. There is a section where the younger goats are kept and they love to be petted. They gently nipped at our legs and... More
