Recent visit to our local zoo was a pleasant surprise. It had been about 4 years since our last visit and we were so impressed with all that has been done. Our little zoo has grown up and truely blossomed. The grounds are well kept...More

We were unsure of what we'd find when we pulled up to this zoo. It looked small, but seemed to have a diversity of animals. We were pleasantly surprised. The docents were friendly, and really seemed to enjoy talking to us about the animals, as...More

Great place to take everyone including the grandparents. Lots of animals and critters to see and nice place to enjoy a walk if you do not go in the zoo. Food is reasonable with friendly staff.

Perhaps it is my personal bias, but I felt really sorry for most of the animals here, especially the large animals such as the elephants, lions, snow leopard, rhinoceros, hyenas, wolves, baboons, who has such limited environments. It was a very hot day, and the...More

Better off driving to Buffalo which has a much larger and nicer zoo. The animals are rarely out and seem to die frequently. You can walk to whole zoo in an hour with kids and be done.

We went as an employee event for employees in the Rochester area. This year was great because all of the animals came out except the water animals like the sea lion I think. Love the zoo. Small enough for young kids.

This is a small zoo so I was surprised by the amount and variety of animals that they have. The sea lions were our favorite for sure. There was an underwater viewing area and they were particularly active while we were there and swam by...More

Slightly below average zoo. Had a nice time meandering and talking throughout the day - it was part of a halfway-meeting-place-weekend (between Boston and Detroit) reunion for the two of us. We did enjoy seeing a few good looking animals - but, also missed a...More

I remember there were a lot of indoor facilities. Though we've never been there in Winter, I can imagine it would be a nice trip in the winter to see the indoor displays and animals.
