We've been boating on Indian Lake for several decades. It's a wonderful lake with awesome scenery, and the motorboat traffic isn't too bad. Many primitive camp sites along the shores, wildlife to see, and woods to explore. Also, this is the home of the rustic...More

Large lake with island camping. The lake has fairly big waves, so be prepared if you are using a canoe or non motorized boat. So worth it to feel away from the usual campground activity! Fishing is good, and this is a fairly busy lake...More

My 6 year old and I had a great stay here. Canoe rental was easy. The lake was picturesque and fairly private. The campsite was clean and unique and the view was awesome. We will definitely be back!

Indian Lake is a great camping destination. My brothers and buddies and I do a trip every year, and usually we don't prefer the pay-to-camp parks, so we were a little apprehensive about how crowded, commercial, or regulated Indian Lake would be. Our concerns were...More

Loved our visit, wish we were staying more than 3 nights. A great Adirondack vacation spot. Most sites are good sizes and wooded. Great amenities. New shower/bath houses are A+. Be careful of "comfort station" rest rooms cause they are pit toilets without sinks or...More

Visited the lake for a few days mid week in June. The lake and surroundings are absolutely beautiful. There are many lakes in the area and they all look great but this one was ideal. The lake has about 4 islands in the middle that...More

Get a boat, kayak, canoe or just swim to one of the beautiful campsites on an island or along the shore. Heaven on earth. Clean, quiet, all the sites we've been to were lovely.

Camped here with my family as a child. Still coming here as I approach retirement age. The place is actually better than ever. It got pretty run down over the years , but many improvements recently.

If you go to Reserve America, you can look at site locations on a map. Some are closer to boat launch than others, too.
