Indian Lake is a great camping destination. My brothers and buddies and I do a trip every year, and usually we don't prefer the pay-to-camp parks, so we were a little apprehensive about how crowded, commercial, or regulated Indian Lake would be. Our concerns were immediately relieved upon arrival to our campsites. The sites are spacious, comfortably equipped, and very... More

Loved our visit, wish we were staying more than 3 nights. A great Adirondack vacation spot. Most sites are good sizes and wooded. Great amenities. New shower/bath houses are A+. Be careful of "comfort station" rest rooms cause they are pit toilets without sinks or sanitizer available. Beach is great & canoe and kayak rentals are available onsite. A couple... More

Was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The ranger at check in was extremely helpful and provided detailed directions to our campsite. We had our motorboat and the ramp was well maintained and easy to use. Plenty of parking for the trailer. Our campsite was in the more remote section, sites 47-50, very glad we were. We felt we... Visited the lake for a few days mid week in June. The lake and surroundings are absolutely beautiful. There are many lakes in the area and they all look great but this one was ideal. The lake has about 4 islands in the middle that I would estimate are about 50 to 150 yards long and 40 to 50 yards... More

Get a boat, kayak, canoe or just swim to one of the beautiful campsites on an island or along the shore. Heaven on earth. Clean, quiet, all the sites we've been to were lovely.

This area of the Adirondacks boosts year round excitement, it does not lie. You can enjoy this lake and surrounding are throughout the year. Summer time is the time for me, with all the boating and fishing and jet skiing one can handle. As soon as you are tired just head back to you own secluded island and rest. If... More

Camped here with my family as a child. Still coming here as I approach retirement age. The place is actually better than ever. It got pretty run down over the years , but many improvements recently.

We stayed 3 nights at the adjacent Lewey Lake Campground. The Reserve America website does not give specific information on the tent sites - maximum of 2 tents, 6 people, and 2 cars. The sites are tight but manageable and are provided with a picnic table and a concrete-walled fireplace with a simple grate. You need to bring your own... More

We used to take our 3 teenage daughters here for a week every summer. The boat access sites are so nice & peaceful. No cell service, no flush toilets, no showers. Great way to unplug & get back to nature. The loons are beautiful. The lake is gorgeous. The mountains around here are awesome. We still like to boat here... More
