Great Views

Part of our walking tour of Sag Harbor. The sun broke through for us and we had a great day. Could easily see across the sound!

Great beach on the bay for families to have kids swim without the ocean waves, beach is exactly one mile long so perfect to walk, jog, or roller blade. This place is why people come to Sag Harbor.

This is a lovely, calm- water beach. It is great for kids -- you don't have to worry about high waves, rip tides, etc. It is never too crowded. I love this beach. The only negative is that it is not as clean as I would like. Also people walk dogs along the sand (ignoring the no pets sign) and... More

Foster Memorial Beach, AKA to locals simply as "Long Beach" is a flat long oasis of sand, views and calm relatively warm, calm waters. At one end of the beach is a lifeguard where mostly families with children sit and at the other end there is no lifeguard. That's where mostly adults without children are found. There are no amenities... More

As a young child, my family and I would rent a tiny cottage in the area. This is where my mother would take us swimming and for food at the Oasis concession stand. The Good Humor ice cream truck would stop by daily for cold refreshing ice cream bars. Clean beach. Not sure if there is a concession stand anymore.

Long Beach, as the locals call this stretch of road, beach and bay views, draws people with dogs, bikes, and children. It is perfect for those of us to know when we've found a spot that invites us to celebrate our good health and joy in living. Everyone says hello and most people have smiles on their faces.

A very long Bay beach in Sag Harbor. Need a Southampton Sticker or you can buy a day pass. Great for kids. Parking is easy and there is a bathroom in season. Teen nights are supervised and hosted on Mon,Wed and Fri in the summer.

Long Beach is a wonderful, crescent shaped beach that offers gentle waves for beach lovers of all ages. Wonderful place any time of year for a good walk - approximately 1 mile from end to end.

The perfect stop for families young and old. Warm, quiet water and clean restrooms with outdoor shower, ample parking. The very far ends has stones, the center, guarded and buoyed, has shells. Consider water shoes or sandals for tender feet. Perfect lap or distance swimming. Always SUPs cruising by. Unbeatable sunsets. No food, but Jimmy Jim's deli just down the... More

A great family beach. Very low key. The water is great for swimming: very calm and not too cold. While the beach itself is full of shells, the entry/exit to the water is fine on your feet. We love the space and the water. Great for kids of all ages, and not to shabby for the grown ups either. The... More
