The key to enjoying the lake is to go on a sunny day. The lake is very reflective and if you go on a sunny day, the lake will be incredibly blue. The village is directly at the top of the lake and you can...More

Skaneateles Lake can only be eclipsed by the tourist based stores and energy of its small town. What a great way to spend the day. Everyone should come to this lake at least once. Then stay for lunch or dinner.

Beautiful lake to cruise about on a watercraft. We had no problem launching our jet skis and there was ample parking. We have seen this lake from different viewpoints. Last year we riad motorcycles around the lake. Both visits to the lake were enjoyable

Nice little lake with nice little downtown and shopping. Judge steam boat tour. Nice food places. Lake is surrounded by nice mansions. Worth taking a trip. Enjoy

Beautiful lake, you can see right down to the bottom in most places. There is a small swimming area with lifeguards and docks. The were even skimming the swimming area and docking area to get any seaweed that happened to float in.

The lake is in a premier section of the finger lakes, with alot of history and very wealthy people. The houses and boats display that well

As others have pointed out there doesn't appear to be a concession for the rental of beach chairs. Most chairs in evidence on our visit were clearly part of a 'personal collection' taken to the park for a family outing.

Everyone has answered the parking question. Sherwood Inn is nice for lunch also and you can sit on the porch and view the lake. They have a tavern menu also. I don't think the boats are running now, but check with them... More
