It was completely empty when we went, not sure if it’s because it was very hot out, but it led to an awesome secluded hike!! Falls were very cool and different then our usual hikes.

Five stars for the falls. Two stars for the trail. We had never been here before and did not know our way around. What we did has head to the left on the trail from the little parking lot next to the trailhead. A sign...More

This falls is really in the Niles, NY area. GPS will take you to it but there is NO PARKING on the road. Go to the end of the curve and park at the junction. Walk back. Then a VERY STEEP trail down to the...More

Easy walk from the roadside down a relatively steep short path to the base of the falls. Spectacular in the spring when the water is high. Cool and refreshing in summer weather. But a longer walk is available along the top of the gully, down...More

The path is rough, but signs will warn you of that, but if you are looking for a serene place to enjoy nature, this is a great one. I wouldn't recommend it for children as the cliffs are steep and caution is needed. We enjoyed...More

Yep - a short (a tenth of a mile), and somewhat unmarked and muddy trail - aka "adventurous". We're avid hikers and are so glad we stumbled upon this little gem. No other humans around - hasn't gotten a lot of traffic. A little hand...More

It was a beautiful cool day for a hike to these falls. The hike itself to the falls was short. but somewhat challenging because of the steepness. Fortunately it was a dry day, so it was too dangerous. There were ropes to hang on to...More

We happened upon Carpenter Falls by chance. Beautiful, but the walk to the falls is not easy. Wear sturdy shoes.

Based on many reviews we expected this to be a nice hike with beautiful scenery; it was not. The official trail does not allow you to get a very good view at Carpenter falls and we could only hear Angels falls. The trails themselves were...More
