A beautiful cemetery right by a river where you can spot the resting places of Irving, Carnegie, Rockefeller, and others. The headless horseman bridge is also located here. There are some nice benches and steps for you to rest on to take a break. It's quite hilly, so wear your walking shoes. Be sure to grab a map at the... More

A beautiful old cemetery, famous for the Headless Horseman. Several famous graves, such as Samuel Gompers. Great for a walk on a nice day. Around Halloween, you may meet the Horseman.

adjoining the older" Burying Ground" of the Old Dutch Church. Between the two, the burials encompass the colonial period to Magnates of industry, e.g. Andrew Carnegie, high society, e.g. the Astors. And many others. Take a read in Wikipedia for advance notice. Memorials are unusually ornate in keeping with their age.

This two hour tour of the Old Dutch Church cemetery is worth the time. Our tour guide, Sarah, was full of stories about the "residents" that touched on the people and the history of the time. Lots of stories about the Revolution and how Tarrytown was always involved. Washington Irving, Andrew Carnegie, William Rockefeller and more - lots of great... More

We were on one of the first evening tours of the season. Our tour guide Ro was entertaining and knowledgeable. It was a great mix of historical facts and just the right mix of spookiness. Definitely worth the visit!

Sleepy Hollow Cemetery is a beautiful setting for both the deaf AND the living...couples even get married here! Famous industrialists like Andrew Carnegie and some Rockefellers are buried here, as is author Washington Irving, author of the famous short story. Grab a map to wander around on your own - or take an informative guided tour.

An amazing cemetery for those who just love architecture and walking in the outdoors. Lots of unpacked roads to meander and a beautiful river runs through it.

They had a nice little festival going on for Halloween. The Headless Horseman was wandering around and there were a few vendors. Seemed like a nice cemetery, but nothing terribly special.
