Just a beautiful, quiet place with several different venues to suit your mood on any given day. From the main house to the greenhouses there are ideas to be shared.

This was well done. The only disappointment was that they ran out of food 3 hours prior to the end of the event. The food person while lovely, admitted that they didn't anticipate enough food for the event, sad. At least this man was honest.

Beautiful park to have a stroll in the arboretum and/or Chinese garden. There is a pond with a Chinese pagoda, for an in between moment of reflexion. The memorial garden, where there are statues for each and every war fought by Americans, is a collection that shows modern history in an impressive way. The park is not to big, but... More

Met up with a friend here with my 13 & 7 yo boys. They both loved everything this park had to offer. We first walked through the spooky forest and saw some goblins, zombies, aliens and dinosaurs. Then we went into the big house and saw an amazing model train set up with a great Halloween theme. In another room... More

We came here for their Dino and Train show. The train display wasn't huge but very detailed and fun to look at trying to take in all the detail. There are also buttons for children (and adults alike) to push so they can activate moving parts on the train display. They also had an animatronic dinosaur that gave our little... More

We go to the Lasdon Park and Arboretum every year for Halloween - and each time they decorate a bit differently, so it's always a lot of fun! This year, for example, they had a lovely dino exhibit. Wagon rides in the woods are great too. And don't forget the Chinese Culture Garden by a lake, it was absolutely magnificent... More

I have attended gardening workshops here and flower shows sponsored by the 9th District of the New York State Association of garden clubs. I have always enjoyed the workshops which generally focus on flower design. There is a Viet Nam War memorial on the grounds and beautiful gardens.

Nice local spot for a walk, enjoy one of the seasonal activities. Great for a short hike. Lately, with the lack of rain some parts are a little parched and the Friendship Pavilion is in disrepair but things are marked so you can learn about the trees and there are maps to help you find your way around. Note:some parts... More
