Easy beautiful walk with magnificent foliage. always something new to see every time we visit. East walks through the arboretum. I love the special work they do with taking care of certain species. Great place to visit.

What a nice place to spend a few hours walking around. The gardens here are very well cared for with lot's of different areas to explore.

The dwarf conifer section had some very interesting specimens. The row of dawn redwoods was just beginning to change color at this time, the third Sunday of October. We would have liked to see more signage for the varieties and species of plants. There are wet areas, so wear waterproof footwear. Great walking, but it is not meant to accommodate strollers or wheelchairs. This park is free and the way visitors are limited is connected to the parking. If one cannot find a parking space (about 24) the notice is that one "should come back another time". We were there before 10:30 AM on a Sunday and a few parking spaces were available. I think later in the day on the weekend in nice weather, the parking would be full and you would have to leave.

Mountain Top Arboretum is a lovely place for a walk. There are peaceful trails through wooded areas or stroll in the meadow. The West Meadow area by the lily pond is especially beautiful. Members are free; however, there is a suggested donation of $5 for other visitors. There is a small donation box near the larger parking area by a kiosk.

Beautiful snowshoe adventure! Trails very well marked but NOT all passable without snowshoes. One trail was uncovered for foot hikers. No restrooms available. Would definitely return in the summer for a new adventure.

This is a great place for an easy hike to be amongst the trees and woods. We really enjoyed being here. Allow about 90 minutes.
We saw the most unusual mushroom growth here just off the trails

This magnificent arboretum is well laid out. It has flowers as well as trees and many specimens are labeled. In October, the trees were on fire with color. There are hiking trails. We didn’t leave enough time (2 and 1/2 hours) so we couldn’t do all the hiking we wanted. Be sure to hike to the hidden marsh, it was almost magical. The hiking was mostly flat through thick forest. There are lots of photo opportunities here. A real gem.

There was still colors, life among the variety of plants, all kinds of pine trees, roses, and plants I had not seen anywhere else.
There is a nice stream of water to sit and reflect . Some played hide and seek with their children. We had a good time walking, sitting, admiring the short maze.

Silly me for not realizing an arboretum is essential a tree park. So I was expecting something a little more, but it was still beautiful nonetheless. All the trees are marked so if you are fan of trees, it's a nice feature. There are a couple of hiking trails. Nothing strenuous/up hill at all. You can bring a dog to designated spots. I chose to stay in the West Meadow close to the pond with all the lily pads and I literally fell asleep for a couple of hours under one of the trees by the pond. it was a beautiful day at a beautiful park.

This place was the primary reason I took my family to the Catskills from NYC, and I was not disappointed. My entire family adored this place. What a gem! It was literally like we were in Heaven. My 3 young children had an incredible time. From the spiral to the tadpole-filled pond to fairy land, we were all entranced. A big thank you to the people who made this place possible.

Thank you Paul
