We traveled to Albany area to hear Albany Pro Musica at Troy's EMPAC; the concert itself was stunning and I was surprised to find such a large and excellent choral presence in Albany. The hall itself is a beautiful gem of a performance space, both...More

I said the quietest, maybe it isn't, they don't claim that. However, it is the quietest you are ever likely to experience. The facility is beautiful inside, and acoustically as close to perfect as is unreasonably possible. They spared no expense to make a technically...More

EMPAC is the most modern-looking building on RPI campus as well as in Troy NY. It has auditoriums and theaters, and also has one or two diners. The terra cafe serves $7 lunch on Wednesday

We attended a conference at EMPAC and so did not experience a performance there. But we were blown away by the technology and the acoustic perfection of the studios and hall. Don't miss the video loop in the lobby showing the building under construction.
