At one point I would have given this museum five plus stars. They no longer run great programs during school breaks and weekends. For example, we have dissected cow hearts and made solar ovens. Now it is mostly drop in do it yourself projects. They...More

My 15 month old loved looking at the animals and exploring the hands on museum. Clearly we kept an eye on her as there are some small items that could be considered choking hazards, but it was well worth our time and watching her learn....More

As museums go, this venue is small, but perfect for small children who enjoy hands on learning and attractions. There's an area with reptiles, a couple birds, a mock TV studio, magnets, kinetic energy display, and they also hold a variety of group classes that...More

I have been to the museum many times with my students. It is a free range museum. That is that everyone can roam at their own pace. Along with browsing there is also hands on activities and lectures. The solar planetarium is simply exciting.

The live owls, the live lizards, fish, turtles and snakes are a huge hit with the 7 year old crowd. There is lots to do. It's worth getting a membership as it transfers to MiSci and you can visit both museums on one membership. Great...More
