Brought my 10 and 12 year old and they each brought a friend. Many exhibits were closed due to the weather. It took about 1/2 an hour for them to get through the entire zoo. They have a small walk up counter that serves food which was reasonably priced.

We had a great day at this reasonably priced zoo today, we loved the variety of animals and our hands on experience with a porcupine. The grounds were lovely, we will be back again.

This is not the biggest zoo we have been to but it was nice. The walk up thru the woods to view different animals and the animal track stations were both really great. The kids got to enjoy the outdoors and not just go from one exhibit to the next. I imagine this trek would be great in the summer... More

Fantastic Annual event run by a great Director, Gary Mundshenk. It's a MUST attend event. Excellent wines for every taste and there is also beer available from local brewery for the non wine drinker. Just a great time to get out and see family and friends in a GREAT atmosphere! Oh, there is a separate Brewfest as well, check Utica... More

We completed our Upstate NY zoo excursion at the Utica Zoo. This zoo clearly has a lot ahead of it, fortunately they know it. Self awareness to this issue is evident when their "New Primate House" fundraising campaign poster starts with a quote saying "We don't like it either." The primate house is particularly bad. Having more scenery in the... More

Pretty good for young children, but not so great with older kids. Still a nice place to go for a walk. I know it's hard for small cities to maintain a zoo. We usually go once a year.

Went there last week for the Red Panda encounter. The 4 hour drive from Boston was well worth it. The staff was really knowledgeable and friendly. The pictures came out great, would go back there again.

This is a small zoo. They have quite a few animals though for such a small zoo. They have a nice hiking trail. Just to let you know, it is also on a hilly area. I saw quite a number of children. I guess this is a popular spot for kids. The staff that I met were very helpful.

This zoo is well kept and the new babies (wallabies & sea lion) are an added attraction for the grandchildren.
