NASCAR's best road racing, Watkins Glen (home of road racing) is situated in New York's Fingerlakes region, wine country. Whether camping or coming for the day, come to this excellent track for great racing,a great time, and much to do in the area.

First visited in 1977 for the US GP, it was a difficult demanding and dangerous circuit that claimed too many in the '60's and '70's. That said its really fun to drive....

I've never been to WGI to watch a race, only for track days. I absolutely love this track! I loved it before they repaved it, and now I love it even more. It is a fast track, with tons of grip (in part due to the camber that most corners have) and has an awesome rhythm to it. If you... More

The race track has it all, new surface which only adds to the fact that this is a world class racetrack Great people run the place, with super nice ambassadors, fabulous views from all angles, and excellent concessions.

Watkin Glen is a very fast, well kept, natural terrain track located in a very attractive vacation area. The grandstands were open for the race and also you could sit in the infield on blankets or lawn chairs. Camping is available at the track. My only complaint about last year was the lack of drinks and food at the track.... More

First, contrary to another review, you WON'T see "Grand Prix" cars at the Glen. They priced themselves out of the area decades ago. What you will see, at the SCCA races, NASCAR race and the wonderful Historic races, are some extremely nice cars going extremely fast in an extremely attractive setting. I've been to a lot of race tracks, both... More

Drive the Glen! We visited from the UK and did. Great value and brilliant entertainment, even in a rental car. Be sure to arrive early and pay at the gate before joining the line to lap the circuit. We got four laps including a stop halfway to take pictures on the winning line. It far exceeded our expectations and at... More

We visited on a non-race weekend while in Watkins Glen. We were able to watch some racers who rented the track for the afternoon. It was nice, and allowed us to see what a race might look like here vs. an oval track. Nothing was open other than the one grandstand. There was no charge to watch, but a charge... More

My husband raced at the Glen in the sixties. drive the Glen was a wonderful opportunity to relive his previous experiences. Fee of $25 seemed reasonable for the event.
