This is best paired with a visit to the lighthouse, as they are side by side. There is some on the street parking (free). Kids enjoyed getting photographed with one foot in each state. Since the marker is on the sidewalk, you really could visit...More

Discovered this checking out the Fenwick Island Lighthouse. Interesting history spelled out on signage there. Kids enjoyed being able to take selfie saying they were standing in two states at once.

The Transpeninsular Marker is located on the south side of the prominent Fenwick Island Lighthouse. The marker, itself, is the easternmost of a series of similar markers placed in the 1750s to mark the state boundary between Delaware and Maryland. There is a bit of...More

Self guided tour and near lighthouse! Great for those interested in history. Very unobtrusive marker, easy to miss if you are looking for it.

At the base of the Fenwick Island Light house, this marker gives you the opportunity to take in a bit of the creation of the states and the historic Mason-Dixon Line.

This is an original marker from the survey of the Mason-Dixon Line between Maryland and Delaware (at that time part of Pennsylvania). Nothing fancy about the site, but much nicer on site than locked away in a museum. Right by the Fenwick Lighthouse.
