Clams and beer

The highlight of Garoua beach are the floating bars. Nice, clean, accommodating. Excellent clams, great pepper sauce, the choices of beer is limited, but who cares. Little floating table to hangout and nice, simple but friendly service. You won’t be disappointed. Great sunset!

The best part of paradise!

Morro de São Paulo is a Island that make part of the archipelago of Tinharé in Bahia, northeasten Brazilian. That is one of the first places discovered in Brazil. So there are a lot of historical places and monuments. You can to get there by plane or boat. Morro de São Paulo has seven famous beaches: first, second, third, fourth, fifth beaches, and also Gamboa and Garapuá. Moreover, the beaches aren’t the only touristic places there. You can visit some beautiful belvedere and historical monuments. The island has places for all kinds of people, for being agitated and quiet. There you can stay at hostels, fisherman’s houses, hotel and resorts.
One of my favorite beaches in Morro de São Paulo is Garapuá. It’s a quiet place. It’s the last beach of the island, the perfect beach for who wants a quiet place for relax. Basically Garapuá is a fishing community.
I went there with my cousin on last year in carnival just for relax. We stayed there for three days, and at this time, we came enjoy that place a lot. We spend our time at beach during all day long. Walking on the cleaner and white sand when we were talking was amazing. And one of my favorite places there is “piscinas”. This is when the tide is low, so the people can go to a part of the tide far from the beach that is not submerged. So there is cleaner water with some fish and dive in shallow water. It’s just amazing and I hope so much to come back there soon.

One of the best place from this island. really, the water is cristal clear, the fishes are swimming around you and they are, literally, eating from your hand.
on the other side, the food prices are higher than island’s average.

Very nice and quiet spot

On low tide you can walk here from Morro. I think I'd prefer to get there by horse-ride (either way in or out).
Beach is really nice and quiet.
With the "vola a ilha" (round the island tour) you visit the natural pools a bit far in the ocean with the low-tide.

We could walk here from our resort (little far) but when we arrived we were surprised of the beauty of this beach. Quiet, locals live here and there are some basic but good restaurants serving great fish dishes.

This is another one of those hidden gems in Morro de Sao Paulo, and is only accessible during low tide and by foot.

Feel in paradise

A shell format beach nearly deserted shell format. The beach is surrounded by a jungle of coconut palms.
On a short boat trip you can enjoy the natural pools.
it's beautiful

Noise, too many people

if you like the night in town, this is the place. All restaurants are over priced and too loud, live music everywhere competing with the next doors... annoying.

So Beautiful! But lots of garbage flushed up on the beach...
Jan 2016 • Family
We went there by horses and that was fantastic! At the beach you have to surrender to its beauty. Such a shame that the water close to the beach was littered with garbage (plastics mainly). You can take a boat out to a small floating restaurant where you can snorkel and have a drink. Chockingly, some people cleaned their plates by simply dumping it into the water. That kind of behavior explains the dirtiness of the beach.

Highly recommend the grilled lobsters on the beachfront!
