The winding road and steep cliffs are beautiful. There are many places to park and enjoy the views and take photos. A unique place.

One should concentrate in the driving here while the one seating on the passenger seat is the papparazzi. Beautiful area. It is just rocks but what a magnificent beauty! Be patient while here as many people stop and park their car in a narrow road....More

This is an amazing route going from Calvi to Ajaccio. The route is quite narrow and it’s necessary to drive carefully and slow, what is not a sacrifice at all, since the views are so astonishing, that you really want to keep that experience as...More

Stunning views! Steep grounding. Narrow from time to time. Not too many parking places along the road. But if you succeed in parking the car there is a lot to see.

We took the D81 from Calvi to Ajaccio passing (and staying) in Piana. It's like highway 1 in California or Oregon but much narrower (so drive SLOWLY) and with no big towns in between. Gorgeous views, lots of stopping places and hikes all around. Lots...More

Loved the drive from Calvi to Piana. The scenery is pretty for most of the drive. There are cows and goats wandering around. The vistas are lovely. Then you get close to Porto and Piana and the views are jaw-dropping! There are plenty of pull-offs...More

This is the most beautiful coastal road I have driven, the views, the rock formation the surprises after each turn really a wow. There are places where you can stop on the side and just walk out to admire the breathtaking views

Average speed depends on time of the year(traffic). We were there in September. Traffic yams because of narrow roads and touring cars. Cruising speed 50 km/hr max. Corsica is perfect for scenic driving but it takes more... More
