Interesting man, actually bought a book about him at the bookstore. If you keep walking past to the end you get to the stairs and path to walk back to Capri. Fun walk for awhile, but it keeps going and figuring out where to cut...More

The Villa San Michele is an astonishing collection of art, architecture, science, history, and beautiful gardens tucked into the tiny village of Anacapri. Its builder may have lived in the 19th and 20th centuries, but he was truly a Renaissance man.

What a truly special place this is! The house is very interesting but the garden is sublime! Definitely the best thing we did on our holiday, and to cap it all there is the most wonderful cafe with outside seating looking over the garden and...More

Came across this place by accident when on Anacapri. It was the home of an intriguing character, Axel Munthe. Tasteful, simply furnished rooms to wander through and a beautiful small chapel on site. The best part by far, however, were the gardens - beautifully tended...More

The house is very quaint and beautiful, the small trek around and to the house has some beautiful views of the sea!

Axel Munthe's house is fascinating, to learn about him as a man, and his contribution to Capri, including his animal protection efforts. The house is wonderfully eclectic, and the gardens beautiful affording high rise views over Capri.

The place is nice, but Capri Island has many other beautiful gardens and places that do not require payment. Considering the price of entry, recommended only for Axel Munthe fans and the book he wrote about the place. המקום חביב, אבל יש באי גנים ומקומות...More

Ditto! A very nice stroll to get there, a few steps in the house and in the garden but nothing worth noting. Don't miss it!

This is a museum and a cafe. No hairdryers from what I noticed.
