Signed up for walking on St Agnes and looking for birds with Will as the leader, as part of the Walk Scilly Weekend. It was outstanding. More of an amble than a walk, because there were just so many birds around, but we still walked around most of the island. Will was completely at home and imparted his wealth of... More

Will Wagstaff offers guided walks to most of the islands around the Scillies, from early spring until beginning of October. He normally offers half day tours for £6 and full days for £12 (plus your boat). For full details of his daily tours keep your eyes on his board on the quay near to the boat ticket office. Will's tours... More

We went on a half-day walk around St Mary's with the highly knowledgable Will Wagstaff. He showed us all the interesting plants, whether it was a flower clinging to a garden wall, an orchid in a meadow, or something poisonous growing in the bottom of a river. He also was particularly knowledgable about the birds and insects (and I thought... More

Will Wagstaff has a vast knowledge of the local history, flora and fauna of the islands. We went on the St Marys walk but Will does guided walks on most of the islands. Bring a pair of binoculars if you have them! Will brought his own kit including a telescope which gave closer looks at birds etc for anyone without... More

Wonderful trip out last night - the light was so dramatic - dark cloud behind us, rainbows and the sunset before us. We were lucky enough to see Manx Shearwater on water and flying, plus Gannets, Sandwich and Common Terns, Shags and Fulmars. Will has such a depth of knowledge and such a lovely way of sharing it. If you... More

Went on both the Seabird Special trip and the Shearwater Special trip with Will giving the commentary. He is extremely knowledgeable and you will learn lots from his interesting commentary. He's a renowned ornithologist, so as well as finding him walking or boating round Scilly, you may also find him on a cruise ship, as he is the guide on... More

Will had excellent knowledge of the birds of the Isles. Try to attend at least one of his talks or trips when you're on the Isles. Brilliant value for money and very entertaining. Excellent!

Will is a very knowledgeable leader who shows you plants, birds, history and local interest with an enthusiasm that is amazing. Novices and those much more experienced are made welcome. Whether on a first visit or returning you will always find something new and interesting. A visit to Scilly is not complete without going on at least one of his... More

To get the most out of your visit to the Scillies, do at least one thing with this very knowledgeable guide. Whether it’s a slide show in the church hall on a Saturday evening, a Seabird Special round the islands on a Sunday or a trip to Tresco (Mondays), St Agnes (Tuesdays) or round St Mary’s (Wednesdays) – we tried... What Will doesn't know about wildlife isn't worth knowing - and he's a very funny raconteur too. Whether attending his lectures, walks or boat trips you will learn loads and have a hilarious, relaxing time
