We walked over the bridge - we could see pelicans. Also children jumping with the rope in the water. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Spent quite a few mornings at sunrise on the Hay river and it was bliss. A beautiful river system that was teaming with bird life and Black Bream for the fishos. The majority of river bank is untouched wilderness and it is a fantastic spot to explore by small boat, kayak or stand-up paddle board.

Had a great last night on hay river. Found a hidden spot my partner and i were able to reverse the ute up to the bank and fish directly off the tailgate. Plenty of bites! But none of size so we will return when the kids come of age.

The hay river flows through the town of Denmark and there is a nice area down near the bridge where you can walk around and see some of the old boats near the bridge.

If in Denmark try the great bridge to bridge walk, takes about 40 mins and at least 3 benches situated on the way round if you want to sit and contemplate the views, then finish off with a great coffee n cake at Ravens sat outside overlooking the river. Nice and dry walk during the summer month and fine for... More

This is a lovely spot for some quiet fishing or boating, even if you're not guaranteed to catch much in the way of big fish. I came here with my son for a spot of fishing. From South Coast Hwy you can turn off onto Keith Rd, which is a gravel road going north. There are several places alongside this... More

Easily accessible off Keith Rd with a number of picnic spots along the edge of the river. Great for a lazy paddle or putt up river. Very serene. As stated earlier check the weather forecast tho cause it can come in quick on the South Coast.

This river has a dirt boat ramp next to the road bridge. Probably only suitable for small tinnies and canoes. There are a few fishing spots on the river bank and the river itself runs into the Wilson Inlet. According to the locals - big bream are taken on river prawns in the river.

Healthy river with lots of wildlife. I wonder down to it at sun-up and it is teaming with wildlife. Just take a seat by the river and "smell the roses". Soak in peace and solitude. There are also walks you can take by the bank and enjoy the wildlife.
