Not really advertised as a tourist destination. The salt lake is a commercial salt producing lake. The algae make the pink colour. You need to take the road to Port Gregory to be able to find vantage spots. The other side has none. The colour...More

Nothing special about this lake. Not worth a long detour to visit. No cafe, restaurants or attractions nearby.

Really glad we took a little detour to Port Gregory as there are a lot more easy to find spots to pull off the road and take a snap shot- especially if you're towing a caravan. The lake was quite pink and there were sections...More

Came on this lake on the way to Kalbarri. There are no official turn offs, parking areas for this lake. Just found a break in the bushes and drove down a track to see the great expanse of water. When through there in May and...More

No formal signs, look out for turn in along the road. One of the two pink lakes in WA. Go in afternoon and will look really pink and amazing

We came across this extensive lake on our way in to Port Gregory and were very surprised to see such a beautiful stretch of water with its pink/purple edges. Well worth going out of one's way to see.

Found the cache we were looking for and the view was lovely. Have been here before but not enjoyed the wonder of it.

This remarkable pink last is well worth the drive to look at. it is very close to Port Gregory. More information about the last would be helpful.

we drove the 130ks round trip from Kalbarri to witness the pink lake, unfortunately it was more of a pink puddle than a lake, we were a little disappointed to be honest. never mind another tick on the bucket list,

We stopped here on our way to Kalbarri. Many ways to view but we just stopped on the side of the road and walked across some dry lake bed to we got close enough for a photo or two. Sometimes can be pinker depending on...More

Which is pinker Hutt Lagoon or Pink Lake in Esperence ? I'm confused. People seem to mix the images on google. Also which is better to see at what times of the year? Is one swimmable and not the other? Thanks so much to anyone with answers for me ! To visit a pink lake has been a dream

The Pink Lake on the way to Kalbarri is on the way to Monkey Mia and Coral Bay, both great places to visit. Esperance is a long way from the main tourist areas in south western Australia and it would require a long trip... More

It is not too far out of your way if you are heading from or to Kalbarri. I do not think you should swim in it but I could be wrong
