A great day spent on Rotto with visitors from Melbourne. So many options of things to wander around and look at it is what you make if it for the length of your stay. Adams Tours looked after us on the train and bus tour of the island. Great staff. The volunteers at the war guns and tunnels were knowledgeable... More

Haven't had this much fun since Thomas the Tank Engine.! Took the train as part of a Round Island tour and it was the highlight. As a kid at heart riding an old flashioned train was a genuine thrill. Though as a purist I would probably call it a rail motor rather than a train. A great trip seeing parts... More

The train has been designed to look and sound like the trains that ran here decades ago so the experience is fun. The driver is very pleasant and informative, chatting to customers and great with children. The ride to the top of Oliver Hill takes 30 minutes, through areas of Rottnest that would otherwise not be seen. It's a lovely... More

Caught the train, which unlike most was on time, up to the gun emplacements and living areas, train driver was great, the volunteers who conducted the tour of the facility were knowledgeable and provided a terrific insight as to how the area was constructed and the duties of personnel at the time. Tour is NOT for anyone who is claustrophobic... More

We caught the train up to Oliver Hill. The train driver was wonderful, entertaining and very kid friendly! He obviously enjoys driving the train and does it with energy and enthusiasm. The whole experience was very noisy, and is not suitable for a guided commentary! It's great fun on a nice day, and I'd recommend it to everyone. Maybe not... More

What a fabulous driver! On the way back he asked if my son would like to drive the train! Which meant sit on the seat and press the button for the horn! What an excited boy I had. Thank you very much for a great experience

I had a good few days staying in a Hostel on Rotto and riding a bicycle exploring the island (well worth the trip) so decided I must do the train ride up Oliver Hill to see the Gun and look into the islands history a little deeper. It was very interesting and informative and got to drive the train on... More
