If you want to see a beautiful sunset, you have to go to The Basin. It's breathtaking. But in general The Basin is a beautiful bay and if you come in spring or autumn you don't have to share it with many other tourists.

A group of friends and I recently stayed on Rottnest Island, boy what a regret that was! They clearly do not want young people on the Island as we were regularly visited by the police and threatened via an eviction notice... Not a fun time

Calm waters, turquoise seas, white sands. A great little place to spend the day or to just watch the sun go down. A wonderful place to calm and relax you.

The pristine waters of the Basin at Rottnest are just so inspiring. White sand, crystal clear water and lovely jagged cliffs - you feel like you've died and gone to heaven!

The Basin is not far from the main settlement on Rottnest. It's an easy walk. The Basin is a sheltered beach, making it great for kids.

This Basin is a welcome retreat after cycling throughout the island but nothing more than that. Water is clean and beach as well. But don't go to Rottenest Island just for the beach. Then you will be disappointed

Love the view. We had the pizza special with sobrassada and blue cheese. Delicious! Also the variety of beer - good for a hot day

Rottnest Island is one.of W.A's greatest treasures. It's truly one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. The beaches are spectacular, crystal blue water, white sand and at times completely empty. Taking a bike ride around the island is the best way to...More

Look it's a beach, other than toilets there is nothing there so bring drinks and food. The beach is not flash, small by WA standards . Might be good for snorkelling.
