We were recommended to drive by and see the canal rocks. We couldn't believe how amazing it was and so fascinating how water is such an force of nature. We didn't have our bathers with us but saw other people swim there. Although you have to be a confident swimmer but that would have been so amazing. Great, great!

Don't know how we have missed Canal Rocks on previous visits. Wonderful example of nature doing her thing. The sea is forced down gullies between the rocks, producing deep clear pools and rock formations. There is a safe broad walk from the car park across to the rocks. Clambering further looks quite dangerous so beware to take great care if... More

The South West has so many scenic wonders, and this is one of them. What a location to take in the sea air and coastline.

The Margaret river region is blessed with boutique food, beverage and craft venues of all shapes and sizes. The canal rocks were a welcome break. The sea was relatively calm and the sun was out when we visited and went out on the galleries over the water. It an hour or so well spent watching the waves, pools and surge.... More

Canal rocks was a mid point for us between busselton and Perth. It was worthy of a stop. We spent sometime admiring the clear waters of the Indian Ocean (I think ). Good stop to admire and respect nature.

Incredible rock arrangement - great to read the history on their creation too. Loved walking around to the different sections and looking for crabs under rocks. No luck, but we did find a starfish! Wouldn't recommend for unsteady people as the gap from the boardwalk to the rocks is quite a step. An older lady had been airlifted out 5... More

A cool lookout area, the Canal rocks are easy to drive to and have ample parking right next to the rocks. You feel like a little kid again scrambling around on the jutting rock formations around the wave pool. The views are incredible - especially from the edge facing out into the waters. I strongly recommend that you wear good... More

Only a 15 minute drive from Dunsborough is Canal Rocks. A perfect place for a snorkel or a rock pool visit. Kids will love it and even the elderly can enjoy a walk over the inlet on the sturdy wooden bridge.
