Just a quick stop for a wine tasting (not part of a tour) and walked away with six bottles. The sparkling shiraz is superb. Wanted to go for a walk around the beautiful grounds, but there was a wedding in progress and we didn't want to intrude.

We booked for lunch and had a tasting first. A small cellar door, but very knowledgeable staff, very enthusiastic about their wine. The Chardonnay is superb.

The food took over two hours to arrive. We were told the chef only cooks steak med rare so take it if leave it. One girlfriend ordered scallops they cost $22 for this. The smallest scallops ever. The gnocchi was wonderful but such a small feed you were left hungry.

Always recommend a stop in here to anyone coming for a stay from out of town. The wine is impeccable and the food just as good. Beautiful gardens surround the area & during the summer months they provide games/ activities for kids. Really friendly & knowledgeable staff round out an absolute hidden gem of our region. Will be back! (Again... More

After a long morning out touring around the local spots, a visit to Rivendell Winery is just what you need to relax, enjoy beautiful surroundings, indulge in tasty delights, sample award winning wines and listen to background music or the chirping of birds. Meals are expensive but if your budget does not allow for this, then we can highly recommend... More

Loved this little place - sat in the little covered courtyard and drank the house specialty- a cabernato mojito - perfect on a warm summers day. Liked it so much we bought a case. Lots of different small birds visiting the birdbath. Pleasant people in the tasting room. Lovely gardens.

During our wine tasting we experienced knowledgable and friendly staff. We recommend you try the sparkling. The estate itself was a bit dated and cluttered.

These guys are stepping up the wine game with si gle serve foil.packs on lanyards and a special alternative to a summer cocktail. Refreshing and delicious white wines and our hosts for the day were enthusiastic, friendly and informative. Especially enjoyed the Verdelho and grabbed a few "wolf packs".

We'd been to a few wineries that day, but this one was informative, interesting, good fun, friendly and great value for money. We loved the Cabernato as a daytime, light easy drinking wine, which could be changed to a cocktail. We also bought the 'simply red', being from Manchester UK we couldn't resist 'holding back the years' and 'Money's too... More

When we first arrived at the Howling Wolves cellar door we didn't know what to expect. We had previously been to some other wineries around the area and were left feeling on the outside of a circle of pretentiousness but when we arrived at the Rivendale were greated by the glowing and ever hospitable manager Carol who welcomed us and...
