While, in my opinion , the Garden of Remembrance does not constitute a,tourist attraction it is a lovely park. Most importantly it is an important symbol and reminder of the atrocities committed against primarily the Jews as part of an extermination plan. Unfortunately these tactics...More

I discovered this park by accident when I was walking from the parking lot to the farmer's market one Wednesday AM. Although I believe it was designed to remember the holocaust, it also serves as a memory to other victims of injustice. I recommend stopping...More

Well, if you're stuck in White Plains, and care about history, and cool sculpture, you might like this. Has placards regarding the holocaust, and of course, being White Plains, is at a major, loud intersection. Clean. No pee smell or litter, because somehow the homeless...More

This in in honor of those lost in the Holocaust. In is a quiet place meant for reflection and is near the Galleria, amid noisy streets. However, when you step inside the gates, there is a kind of hush. Well kept and unobtrusive. Stop in...More

Nothing to go out of your way to visit just a nice green place for locals to spend lunch time. It's not designed for tourists.

Very well done stone, and sculptured pieces inside the gates. Quit and tranquil which puts you in a peaceful mood. A wonderful place to just sit and relax.

I walk by this often, it is a beautiful series of sculptures representing each of the Nazi extermination centers. I have never seen anyone inside it, but I appreciate seeing it there,

And a good place to rest and have a quiet moment if you're nearby. This is a fairly busy part of White Plains. One positive thing; it's only 10 minutes off of interstate 287.
