You can’t compare NC skiing to Vermont or New Hampshire but for down here it’s not bad. Really enjoyed their newer trail “Gunther’s Way”. Keep adding some more trails Sugar...even if they’re small, the more the better. One improvement could definitely be the food in...More

My boys had never been skiing anywhere but Gatlinburg. They wanted to ski for their Spring Break which was the first week in March. Since my younger son was considering transferring to Appalachian State University his junior year, I suggested we head toward Boone, NC...More

Went for twilight skiing yesterday. My 8 and 5 year old boys skied as did my husband. The boys loved it. They rode the new chairlift to the top of the mountain and came down over and over again. Hubby said the kids felt like...More

We left South Florida for a ski getaway. Family of first time skiers. We went to another ski mountain before this one and were spoiled by that other experience. The staging area at Sugar Mountain was disjointed and overwhelming. We went late in the season...More

Loved my day on the mountain! It was mid 50's and they had the Upper and lower flying mile running as well as some greens which made for a great day on the mountain for all skill sets.

Not a big skiing resort but I had a blast coming down the blue runs and is not crowded. There is a ski school which my friends learned in one hour to ski and there is dinning facilities

Our family skied over the Christmas holiday. Many slopes and lifts were open to accommodate the crowds. We arrived first thing in the morning, getting on the slopes as soon as possible. The morning skiing was great! In the afternoon, many more skiers arrived, along...More

Great time. Needs more high speed quad lifts. Also the snow blowing machines hit you directly in the goggles which is a bummer. Otherwise had a blast.

The price of the ski pass is the same as usual, but the available ski lifts and slopes are less than half what they usually are. Definitely not a good deal.

IMHO, I would call the resort and ask. I've been there several times but never when it was as warm as it's supposed to be this week.
