What an awesome experience! Our tour guide Tyler was very knowledgeable about the animals and did not mind answering questions posed by our 4 kids. The animals are well taken care of. This is a must see! They also have beautiful yarn!!!!

Such a lovely little farm in one of the most beautiful mountain areas. Even the drive to it was gorgeous. The animals were all fun and sweet. We loved learning about all of them, purchasing yarn made from the specific animals we met, and just enjoying the experience.

So happy that we were able to visit Apple Hill Farm today! In fact, this was our second visit having visited last February as well! The tour is fun and enlightening and it is neat to see a working fiber farm. Our tour guide, Tyler, was engaging and informative. The animals seem well loved and well cared for. I love llamas which is what made me want to visit, but I sure love all those goats and the guard donkeys too. We plan to come back again (outside of February, lol) sometime when in the area. Gotta check on those triplet goat sisters that I fell in love with on our first tour! If you are looking for something different to do, and a fun day out, this is highly recommended!

We had a great time on this tour and it was so fun to meet all the animals. Our guide, Tyler, was friendly and informative! He also takes great pictures for you lol. My favorite part were the alpacas and the gift shop! We would definitely return when we are back in the area.

I expected to be bored and see a couple of listless llamas standing around kicking mud. Boy was I wrong! The setting is gorgeous ( we couldn't fully enjoy as it was foggy/rainy but on a clear day I'm sure the vistas are amazing) the animals are well loved and there's a lot of variety! Angora goats, normal goats, working herding dogs, horses (rescues) cows, alpacas, llamas, 2 pot bellied pigs with adorable personalities, donkeys (OMG!!) a chicken coop with vigorously vocal roosters ... what a delightful collection of critters; and our entertaining guide was engaging & approachable, offered myriad facts about each animal and its purpose/story. I can't wait to visit again on a summer day. Tip: Wear stable walking shoes you are ok with getting dirty and muddy

Our group of 6 friends had a great time at Apple Hill Farm. Our guide was very knowledgeable about each animal living at the farm. We all marveled at how much we learned during our visit. Comforting to know that a place exists that values the lives of these beautiful animals and provides them a happy home. Highly recommend a visit and certainly would like to do again sometime.

So from what I am reading in the reviews, children do not get to touch any of these animals? Is this correct?

Both my children and myself were able to pet some of the animals. The animals are not in small pens, so it is not a guarantee that they will come over to you on your visit. However, we were able to pet the miniature horses and the alpacas. And, of course, the wonderful dogs.

Hi....Instead of gifts for Christmas for some, i like to give away "experiences". I was wondering if you have gift card(s) available for tours, or how I could go about purchasing a tour for a family ahead of time, if possible. Thanks...

Great idea about giving "experiences" instead of something store bought. I suggest you contact the farm directly to find out what they offer. Good luck.
