I have visited the museum twice, last year on my honeymoon, and this year with my husband and family. If you like nautical history, Blackbeard or pirates, it's the place to go! There is no cost, and it really is a great little museum. I...More

Great little museum voluntary donation for admittance fee. Perfect location downtown Beaufort. Interesting for our older crowd - is perfect for younger ones as it has fun activities.

Well-worth the trip! There are quite a few displays and many items of interest concerning the shipping industry of the early 1700's through the early 1900's! Quite a lot to see and learn about - all of it happening right off the coast of NC!

Excellent little museum! Free admission, affordable gift shop; lots of info on Blackbeard, the Civil Air Patrol's effort in wartime and maritime history. One of three uniquely different but same themes museums along the coast. Will be back with my kids.

It's a small indoor museum, I did not see any dogs when we were there. I'm thinking it would not be appropriate to bring dogs in.
