daughter lives on beech mtn a vol. fire fighter so her membership is free. I love it because of all the indoor activities you can participate in during winter. I can visit the center for classes at modest fees, use exercise equipment and the best part is that members can go 24/7 if their work schedules are varied like teachers... More

Great place for individuals or families. Picnic table shelter area is nice, the lake is pretty you can use the canoes or paddle boat. Or just relax and take pictures! Trails are nice and I saw lots of dogs on leashes. Pretty place for a few hours or a day.

We celebrated our daughters 25th BDay! 6 of us spent half the day hiking! Beautiful trails and well marked! Remember if you want to hike stop by the General Store for maps! They are $1. Enjoy

Enjoyed a hike to the falls then an afternoon of fishing! The fishing gear was free to rent too!! They had a nice room with books, games and puzzles, a gym and other amenities we did not use. Staff was very helpful :)

While visiting the area, we happened upon this little gem of a park. We took the dogs out for a few laps around the field. We had the whole park to ourself bear sunset. This allowed us to do some great distance training in the fields with our dogs. We really loved this stop and will be back whenever we... More

A group of 12 of us completed the hike down to the waterfall and back. Not too strenuous and very pretty. Kids had a great time on the little playground playing "America Ninja Warrior" with all the rope activities.

For a voluntary optional donation, the town sponsored a real nice event and fun evening for young kids (6-12ish). A lot of activities. Parking was as expected in the mountains. Had to park on side of some road 100 yards away.
