We took our family with several small children using a Groupon and the kids all absolutely loved the lights and displays. It was not overly busy on a weeknight around dusk about midway through December. We walked around and enjoyed the shooting water and plants and lights as well as the botanical gardens. There were crafts being made that the... More

I had never been to the garden before, so decided to visit for the holiday lights, and it was a nice experience - many of the paths are lighted in a rather tasteful way, with both small lights alongside the path, and larger, tree-sized lights in the gardens. There are even some more interesting lights arranged in unexpected ways, such... More

Most Botanical Gardens are historic locations that were formerly some rich persons estate DSBG was built from the ground up and only opened in 1999. Everything looks new. Gardens are beautiful with a good selection of water features.Terrain varies with well graded winding trails between levels. Outstanding greenhouse although a little small. 3 different model railroad displays add interest for... More

After having dinner at a local Seafood Restaurant in Belmont, we stopped by the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens nearby to view the Christmas Lighting display. The grounds are an absolute feast for the eyes with multi-colored lighting on hundreds of trees and shrubs throughout. The Orchid Conservatory is a welcome break from the cold temps and has subtle decorations scattered... More

We visit the garden at least three times a year and often more depending on who we are hosting in the area. Every season brings a new wonder and variation to the gardens. We are members and the membership comes with reciprocal agreements to over 300 gardens throughout the US...we definitely have taken advantage of that! Of all of them... More

An enchanting Garden, filled with inspiring things to grow in my own garden. It's a relaxing and romantic to stroll along the garden with the one you love.

Very enjoyable visit, not the largest botanical garden I've visited but excellent presentation and immaculate grounds, near Lake Wylie

We met up with another family to see the little houses. The kids were a baby, two 3 year Olds, and a six year old. The kids ran around like mad. The houses only briefly held their interest. My three year old fell in a fountain and got wet! I love this place, but not with kids.

Heres the deal. This is an ok light show. Way too expensive. But we went every year and planned it around when the Belmont Santa would be there because he looks real and acts real and we just took our own pictures in a really cool background. He made it an experience. Even tried to hear names before we got... More

Daniel Stowe is so beautiful to visit and very quite, it gives a person time to think and appreciate the great outdoors, there is a small fee but well worth it. Daniel Stowe is a show case in its self and the love they show on their grounds proves how much respect they have for mother nature this is a... More
