The flowers are amazing. There's always something new to see. The kids love it. Lots of room for them to run around and see adn get loads of fresh air. The staff are usually friendly. The prices are often outrageous at the gift shop or snack area. Admission prices aren't too expensive and makes for an excellent day trip. Lots... More

I went to see the Orchid exhibit in the Conservatory at the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden in Belmont, NC - only about a half hour drive from Charlotte. The orchids were simply stunning! They were bursting with the most beautiful pinks, purples, yellows and of course, whites. I highly recommend going to visit the Garden. It's conveniently located close to... More

We appreciated the wheelchair friendly accessibility, the gorgeous light displays, music, crafts for kids, hot chocolate, wine, and music at the NYE festivities. The orchid house and firepit were nice places to warm up on the cold December night. Affordable admission makes it a good value. Hope to return again and see what's blooming in the warmer seasons.

We traveled here in October on a weekday and it was a pleasant visit. The gardens were fairly easy to navigate, and the flowers that were in bloom were very pretty. They were landscaping during our visit, and this resulted in bundles of dead foliage and garden hoses sporadically spread around, but overall it was a nice visit.

Visited during week before Christmas. While not on the scale of the New York Botanical Gardens in Brooklyn, NY still charming & quiet as we arrived at the right time of day to get outdoor pixs, namely 5:10 pm. Toured model train display & themed trees decorated by local school classes. Then the conservatory with tropical plants, flowers & trees.... More

We visited in late December and arrived about an hour before dusk. That allowed us to see the gardens before and after dark. There was no line when we arrived, however, there was quite a line when we left, so I would recommend arriving before dark. The map was easy to follow and the gardens are easy to navigate. DSBG... The gardens a wonderful display of flowers and flora. Some woodland exploring is available that is a great walk and reflective time if your alone and a warm summer day if you are a couple. The welcome center is a beautiful building with a great hall.

Although this is a small garden one would expect a light display with a bit more direction and possibly cohesion. Outdoor not designed well and the interior décor was uninspired as well. A holiday light display that lacks key design elements doesn't lend itself to a good impression. The value doesn't align with the return and your money would be... More

We took our family with several small children using a Groupon and the kids all absolutely loved the lights and displays. It was not overly busy on a weeknight around dusk about midway through December. We walked around and enjoyed the shooting water and plants and lights as well as the botanical gardens. There were crafts being made that the... More
