We've visited Julian Price Park many times over the years. We've hiked all of the trails but especially like Boone Fork Trail, Green Knob Trail, and Price Lake Trail. Our most recent visit was to hike the Price Lake Trail with my 6-year old grandson. This is an easy 2.7 mile loop trail around the lake. We got to see... More

Don't plan to set any speed records along this section of the BRP. We had barely gotten back in the car after stops at Blowing Rock, Flat Top Manor, and Cone Park when we encountered the picnic area, lake, and campgrounds of Julian Price Park. We set out to hike on the loop trail but didn't get all the way... More

I always make it a point to spend some time at Price Lake. It's beautiful, especially in the fall when the leaves are changing. The trail around the lake is a favorite hike although it can be a bit muddy in spots.

Traveled here with my wife & three year old hiking and under one son in a shoulder pack to do the 1.5 mile hike in to the falls area. We noticed a few gentlemen headed out to fly fish when we got there and some younger people headed out with poles in search of rainbow trout on our way out.... More

What a wonderland of natural beauty! We camp in tents every spring by Price Lake and it is the event of the year. Hiking, fishing, boating, and awesome views make this a premier national park experience. Nearby is Cone Manor, Grandfather Mtn., Blowing Rock, and Tweetsie Railroad. Who could ask for more!

If in the Blowing Rock area, looking to to do a scenic, not too strenuous, loop-hike right from the Blue Ridge Parkway, this is the ticket for a nice stretching of the legs.

This is a great place to take a leisurely walk. The trails are mostly flat with little grade so are good for those who don't want a strenuous walk. They are several miles but you can enjoy short walks as well. Stop and take a look if you are not in the mood for walking as it is a beautiful... More

We stopped here along the BRP and walked around the lake and park area. It is very scenic and a great location to take some family photos which is what we did Thanksgiving weekend. Although we here in late November, I can see that this would be a great place to hang out in and around the water when it... More

A very fun 5+ mile loop hike. Definitely a little tricky to follow through the campground, but worth it for the views and varied forest, meadows, etc. Even a waterfall if you care to make a short detoiur.

I went to the Lake to fish during Thanksgiving weekend. The mornings were so beautiful. The Lake provided us with a few trout and another big one that got away. Plenty of parking and a trail that goes around the Lake. Plenty of picnic tables line the Lake
